Entry Point North will offer a range of Initial ATC courses in Madrid in connection with ENAIRE 2017 Convocatoria. More information will be published straight after the Convocatoria is published.

Basic ATC+ADI/ADV+APS+ACS+APP/ACP Programme

For the candidates who have never worked as air traffic controllers and don't hold any licence, we offer a full ATC Initial training programme following the ENAIRE selection process.

Starting date:
The programme start date will be announced soon. There will be an approximately 2-week break over Christmas and 2-week break in August, plus breaks for Spanish public holidays.

The programme includes:
  • Basic ATC+ADI/ADV+APS+ACS+APP/ACP courses delivered according to Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340
  • Continuous assessment and support to each individual student throughout the whole training, which includes individual actions, extra training and support during the course, if needed (no additional cost)
  • Skilled, trained and certified instructors with vast amount of experience including Spanish instructors
  • English language proficiency assessment
  • Spanish language proficiency assessment
  • Help and support with Spanish phraseology
  • iPad provided for each student for the period of the training
  • Study visit to relevant ACC in Spain

APS + ACS + APP/ACP Programme

For the ones who already hold an ADI/ADV rating, we offer a programme of the additional rating courses.

Starting date:
The programme start date will be announced soon. There will be a 2-week break in August and 1-week break over Christmas, plus breaks for Spanish public holidays.

The programme includes:
  • APS, ACS, APP and ACP Rating courses delivered according to Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340
  • Continuous assessment and support to each individual student throughout the whole training, which includes individual actions, extra training and support during the course, if needed (no additional cost)
  • Skilled, trained and certified instructors with a vast amount of experience including Spanish instructors
  • Competence assessment (APC) for those who already hold an ADI/ADV student licence which will take place at the end of the course, if required
  • English language proficiency assessment
  • Spanish language proficiency assessment
  • Help and support with Spanish phraseology
  • iPad provided for each student for the period of the training
  • Study visit to relevant ACC in Spain

About Entry Point North

From 2017 Entry Point North offers ATC training at its newly established academy in Madrid. The academy is our 5th training site in Europe and offers top quality Basic and all Rating training courses for Spanish students who plan to work for ENAIRE or any other Air Navigation Service Provider in Spain.

Being one of the largest air traffic controller academies worldwide, Entry Point North educates more than 3000 controllers a year coming from Scandinavian as well as various European (Sweden, Denmark, Croatia, Belgium, Spain etc.), Asian and Middle Eastern countries. The controllers are trained at modern facilities in Malmö (Sweden), Budapest (Hungary), Shannon and Dublin (Ireland) and Copenhagen (Denmark) and now in Madrid (Spain). In total we have more than 250 new radar/pilot simulator training positions, one 360°, one 270°, two 270°/360° and fifteen180° 3D state-of-the-art simulators.

Recognition of Entry Point North as a training provider in Spain

Entry Point North is a training organisation licensed to deliver training in all EU member states, including Spain, under Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340 of 20 February 2015, as stated by AESA. See following documents for reference: AESA website and the information note below.

The Training Certificate and the Student License issued after passing our Initial training courses will be recognised by AESA and ENAIRE.
