Entry Point Central busier than ever

Entry Point Central was established in 2011 as a joint venture between HungaroControl and Entry Point North. Since then, Entry Point Central has exclusively had the responsibility of providing HungaroControl’s Initial Training and Development Training.

In 2018, Entry Point Central had its most successful year so far, delivering ACS, ADI, APS and Basic training for Hungarocontrol, as well as more than 60 English Aviation courses and two conversion training courses for military air traffic controllers. On 1 October 2018, a Basic ATC Course for 22 students from Hungary started at Entry Point Central, setting a record for group size starting a course at this training site.

The day was preceded by a busy period of starting up an APS course for eight Air Traffic Controllers from AlbControl on 24 September, and in the same week the entire simulator was fully upgraded in terms of new hardware.

Entry Point Central is currently working hard to make sure to end 2018 in full force. At the same time, new external clients have shown an increasing interest in training at Entry Point Central, which we hope will come to fruition in the coming years.
