Entry Point North delivers first course in Oman

In December 2018, Entry Point North has delivered its first course in Oman. A total of nine participants took part in a five-day aeronautical observation (AMO) course in Muscat. Course participants were seven AFISOs from Petroleum Development Oman LLC and two handlers from Oman Air.

The course was tailored to the needs of the participants, by adding AFIS refresher lessons, extra MET-theory and adjusted practical exercises to reflect a desert climate. The course has enabled the participants to make fully standardised, accurate surface meteorological observations. The acquisition of these skills was achieved through a combination of theory training, practical examples and exercises, and was completed with a test.
