Entry Point North is delivering ten OJTI courses in Thailand

From 21 May 2018 until early 2019, we are delivering ten full On-the-Job-Training Instructor (OJTI) courses in Thailand to operational air traffic controller instructors of Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI). We have previously provided AEROTHAI with OJTI courses and Assessor courses during 2017 and 2018 in Bangkok and is pleased to continue the cooperation with AEROTHAI.

The scheduled OJTI courses are delivered in Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand) and in Ubon Ratchathani (North-Eastern Thailand). One of our experienced instructors is delivering the course in cooperation with a team of local coaches. This combination provides the opportunity to adapt the training to the national methods and culture, and to smooth out any language barriers that may occur.

The courses are five days in length and comprised of theory, practical exercises, and group discussions. In order to familiarise themselves with the various roles and ways of exchanging feedback, role-play is used during on-the-job training. The participants train on a simulator where they take on the role of either instructor, student, or observer. Some key areas of focus are how to teach a student to handle stress, how to evaluate the student, and how to write reports.

“It is a great pleasure to work for AEROTHAI again. I am happy to have been met with such professionalism and eagerness to learn on the first course in this series, which we have just completed, and look forward to the next,”

– says Mr. Theis Larsen, Entry Point North instructor on the OJTI courses.

We are pleased to be selected to provide AEROTHAI with high-quality training that is cost-effective by means of combining our training expertise with local know-how, and it would be our pleasure to continue to deliver this concept to customers in the Asia region and beyond.
