ATSEP Workshop 2015

The annual international workshop on ATSEP Training was hosted for the third time on 14 – 15 October 2015 at Entry Point North in Malmö. The workshop was organised for Entry Point North partners and the ATSEP community and aimed to broaden the knowledge and experience on ATSEP training, to discuss the upcoming regulations and to share best practices between different organisations in the world.

It was our great pleasure to welcome more than 50 participants representing 22 countries from all over the world. During around the world tour, the participants introduced their ATSEP organisations and how they handle ATSEP training. Mr Ken Engelstad briefed the participants on the latest EASA information on ATSEP regulation, which was followed by a lively discussions and questions-answers session. On day 2, we continued with presentations of Mr Bent Fog talking about ATSEP training at Naviair and Mr Dany Van der Biest introducing the participants to ATSEP training at Belgocontrol. Mr Robert Horak then explained the ATSEP training scheme in Austro Control and we closed the workshop with Mr Thorsten Wehe’s presentation on ICAO improvements on the PANS-Training Doc and the ICAO ATSEP Training Manual.

The event once again provided an excellent opportunity for participants to develop and learn from each other’s experiences. We would like to thank to all the participants for taking an active part in this year’s ATSEP Workshop and we hope to see you at ATSEP Workshop 2016 on 12-13 October!
