Following an increasing number of requests, Entry Point North has now scheduled a course in accident/incident investigation techniques in air traffic management (ATM). This 5-day Accident/Incident Investigation in ATM course will take place at Entry Point North academy in Malmö on 30 November – 4 December 2015.
The course is beneficial for anyone involved in operational aspects of flight safety within the ATM environment – operational air traffic controllers, flight safety officers, managers, union representatives, regulatory authorities, air traffic services (ATS) management and others. There are no prerequisites to attend this course, but it is an advantage if the participant has a professional interest in aircraft accident/incident investigation.

The course participants will gain fundamental knowledge on both incident and accident investigation and after completing the course. Furthermore, they shall be able to carry out investigations and act as advisors/coordinators or ATM operation specialists in official accident/incident investigation teams. They will become familiar with the accident/incident investigation techniques in ATM and acquire knowledge on how to collect and analyse facts and preserve evidence in order to determine causes and make safety recommendations. Moreover, Tthe participants will gain the knowledge on how to write a final report that meets the requirements of the accident investigation authority of the state conducting the investigation.
