Entry Point North Spain’s first students graduated from APP/ACP Rating course on 30 May 2017 after an intensive four weeks of training at our newest academy in Madrid. They have already put their skills into practice by joining on-the-job-training at ENAIRE (the largest Air Navigation Service Provider in Spain).
On 3 July 2017, shortly after the first course finished, we had the pleasure of welcoming eight new ATC students. Their training programme covers APS, ACS, APP and ACP ratings (eight months in total) and the students are currently in the last phase of the APS rating course. The programme is being delivered by a team of Entry Point North course supervisors and Spanish instructors who have previously worked for ENAIRE, which gives the students a good insight into what to expect when they begin their unit training within their respective units.
ENAIRE is currently planning a new recruitment process with the intention of adding at least 110 new ATCOs to their staff. Entry Point North Spain will assist the applicants throughout the preparation for the ENAIRE recruitment exams by offering English preparation courses. Additionally, we will offer tutorial sessions in order to assist the students in preparation for the exam on the theory published in ENAIRE’s syllabus. Once ENAIRE has completed the recruitment process, Entry Point North Spain will publish the schedule of the 2018 ATC Initial training course for the next generation of Spanish ATCOs.
