On-site simulator platform at Naviair is operational

On 9 June 2015, Entry Point North and Naviair entered into a long-term frame agreement for the delivery of simulator platform and related services to be used in training by all Danish ATC Towers and the North Atlantic controllers. The agreement includes installation, operation and maintenance of simulator systems onsite, data preparation and provision of simulator pilots.

During the summer, a state-of-the-art 270° air traffic control tower simulator system consisting of 5 TWR controller positions and 10 pilot simulator/controller positions (ACS/APS) has been set up by our experienced system specialists. Exercises and airport layouts have been designed for Naviair’s air traffic control towers and tested together with Naviair. Danish speaking professional simulator pilots have been recruited and trained to be ready to support the first course starting on 24 August 2015 using the new systems.

Since the establishment of Entry Point North in 2006, Entry Point North Denmark is the fourth training site of the Group. Today Entry Point North Group provides ATS and aviation related training and services in Sweden, Hungary, Ireland and at customer sites.
