Course aim

The ATM Safety Case course is designed for personnel working within the safety domain, such as managers, assessors, and incident investigators.

After completing the course, the participants:

• Have knowledge and understanding of the safety case argument and the safety case framework in general.
• Understand the common structure of safety and risk management in a complex and dynamic environment like ATM.
• Have updated knowledge concerning the development within the safety domain.

Course structure

The course is 5 days in duration and consists of classroom training, discussions, and a case study.

• Exploring safety.
• Risk management.
• The Safety Case Process.
• The 10 Systems Thinking Principles.
• Case study.

Prerequisites

Previous safety domain knowledge or experience.
