In June 2015 Entry Point North and Naviair entered into a long-term frame agreement for the delivery of a simulator platform and related services to be used by Naviair for the training of controllers from all Danish ATC Towers and North Atlantic AFIS controllers. In accordance with the agreement, Entry Point North operates and maintains simulator systems on NorthSim software on-site at Naviair premises, whereas Naviair is responsible for the delivery of the training.
The new 270 degree TWR simulator is being kept busy with Continuation and Unit training activities on daily basis since its installment. In addition to the Copenhagen TWR unit, more than 100 participants from all the provincial airports in Denmark have already received training. To be able to support the intensive training activities in Copenhagen, the Entry Point North Denmark team has recently recruited 8 new simulator pilots. This will ensure that training activities are provided on a continuous basis during the busy upcoming autumn and winter 2016 training schedules.
