Entry Point Central is an international ATS academy in Budapest, founded in May 2011 by HungaroControl (the Hungarian Air Navigation Service Provider) and Entry Point North.
Entry Point Central provides initial and development training for air traffic controllers. Students are trained to meet the requirements of Basic ATC and the appropriate rating(s), whether this is APS, ADI, ACS or a combination of courses. Entry Point Central also offers professional and internationally recognized OJTI, OJTI Refresher and Assessor training courses.
Entry Point Central’s language training section provides English classes to the operational staff and the supporting area of HungaroControl. Such training is conducted by both Entry Point Central’s own teachers and native-speaker tutors of a language school. Aviation English and business English courses are available for external customers as well, with our English proficiency test for pilots (TEP) being one of the most popular services we offer.
Entry Point Central comprises of 350 m² of training facilities: classrooms, simulator rooms and a conference room fitted with the latest AV equipment. The site is equipped with 34 simulator positions and two 180° TWR 3D simulators.
2019 is one of the busiest years at Entry Point Central yet, and this eventful schedule is looking to go on well into the future. In the beginning of June, all 6 military ATCOs who participated in conversion training have successfully finished their course. The ongoing ab-initio course finished with the unprecedented positive success rate of 86.3 %: 19 out of 22 students completed the course. In September this year, 26 students will start Basic ATC training – this is the largest group of students at Entry Point Central to date.
