Course aim
The ATM Safety Case course is designed for all stakeholders involved in the process of implementing a new ATM system and/or demonstrating that the implementation of a new system or procedure is safe within the ATM system. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a knowledge and understanding of the safety case framework by exploring the risk management and hazard identification processes, the safety evidence and risk acceptance criteria and ultimately the construction of safety case arguments.Course objectives
After completing the course, the participants have:- Knowledge of the concept of safety cases
- An understanding of the safety case framework
- An understanding of the risk management and hazard identification process
- An understanding of the safety case arguments
- Knowledge of the concept of safety evidence and risk acceptance criteria
Course overview
The course is designed as a five-day intensive course comprising lectures, hands-on exercises and group discussions. A tailor-made course can be offered to meet individual clients' needs in terms of both the course duration and the course content.Prerequisites
