Course aim The course is designed to prepare the students for live traffic situations through extensive use of simulations, using site-specific facilities requiring handling of complex and dense traffic situations. The course aims to enhance the previously acquired rating routines and skills, and to enable the student air traffic controller and/or the trainee air traffic controller to reach the objectives, required as prerequisites for the On-the-Job Training.
Course objectives After completion of the course, the participants:
- Have their previously acquired rating routines and skills enhanced through extensive use of simulations with site-specific facilities in the local airspace
- Have knowledge and understanding of local regulations and procedures
- Are prepared for live traffic situations which may be encountered in the unit
- Have knowledge, skills and understanding in accordance with the specified training objectives as described in applicable unit training plan and otherwise relevant documentation.
Course overview Entry Point North offers customised Pre-On-the-Job Training (OJT) courses based on client's requirements and in cooperation with its training instructors, for on-site delivery. The course is followed later by a practical On-the-Job Training.
The usage of the training philosophy, tools and methods applied during Initial Rating training within Entry Point North continues to be applied in the Pre-On-the-Job Training, which provides a natural continuity.

Prerequisites To have successfully completed Entry Point North's relevant Initial Rating Training and Transitional Training, alternatively training equivalent to EUROCONTROL-SPEC-0113, Annex 1 and Annex 7 (EU) or otherwise equivalent training (non-EU).
