Course aim

The course is designed for safety specialists, managers or any other personnel at air navigation service providers. The aim of the course is to provide participants with knowledge concerning the foundation, the mechanisms and the manifestations of Safety II. The course introduces participants to the concept and principles of a systems thinking approach and creates awareness and understanding of the increasing complexity of operational work.

Course objectives

The course introduces participants to the concept and principles of Safety II and a systems thinking approach. The purpose is to create awareness and understanding of the increasing complexity of operational work and at the same time introduce ideas and plausible ways to navigate the intricacy of normal work.

Course prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for the course. However, in order to fully benefit from the course, it is recommended that the participants have some working experience within the Safety domain.
