Course aim

This course provides personnel working on the movement area with the knowledge required to recognise, assess and mitigate the hazards associated with aircraft jet blast and propeller wash. Participants develop an understanding of the risks posed to people, vehicles, equipment and infrastructure and learn how to apply safe working practices in operational environments.

Prerequisites

No specific prerequisites are required. The course is suitable for personnel working in airside operations, ground handling, apron management and supervisory roles.

The course supports aerodrome operator responsibilities for maintaining a safe operating environment and ensuring personnel receive appropriate safety training for airside hazards and operational risks. Fully compliant with ADR.OPS.B.028 Management of Aprons and ADR.OPS.B.035 Protection of aircraft from hazards in Regulation (EU) No 139/2014 Rules for Aerodromes.
