Where it all began…

Entry Point North Ireland, established in 2014, is the second-largest academy within the Entry Point North network. Entry Point North Ireland is certified by the Irish Aviation Authority as a training organisation under Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340. The academy was founded through a strategic partnership with AirNav Ireland, the national air navigation service provider. This collaboration was designed to offer a comprehensive range of air traffic control (ATC) training programs essential for the development and training of AirNav Ireland’s ATC professionals and other aviation personnel in Ireland.

Location & facilities

Entry Point North Ireland has two bases –Dublin and Shannon. Our Shannon base is located 10 minutes from Shannon Airport and focuses on initial and unit training development and delivery. Our Dublin base focuses on unit training and is located in close proximity to Dublin Airport, Ireland’s busiest Airport. Dublin, Ireland’s capital, is rich in culture and nightlife, while Shannon is quieter but key for transatlantic travel.

The team

Entry Point North Ireland boasts a team of experienced professionals, with many of the instructors and staff seconded directly from AirNav Ireland. These experts bring real-world, operational experience to the training environment, ensuring that the curriculum is both relevant and of the highest quality. Additionally, the academy is supported by personnel from Entry Point North’s headquarters in Sweden, benefiting from the broader organisation’s experience and resources.

Fun fact

Our base in Dublin is one of the few air traffic control training centres in the world located directly at an international airport. This gives students real-time exposure to live aviation operations while they train!
