Course aim

The NOTAM Origination course is designed for aerodrome personnel and other relevant aviation professionals involved in NOTAM issuance. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the importance of accurate aeronautical data for flight planning and safety.

Upon completion of this course, learners will have knowledge of:

• The purpose and significance of NOTAM.
• How NOTAM integrate with other aeronautical information.
• The criteria for issuing a NOTAM.
• The correct procedures for encoding and decoding NOTAM.
• Regulations governing NOTAM origination and dissemination.

How you will learn

The standard access is 90 days, and we estimate that half a day is needed to complete the course.

Prerequisites

The NOTAM Origination course is designed for aerodrome personnel and other relevant aviation professionals involved in NOTAM issuance. There are no prerequisites for taking part in this course.

Compliance with regulations

The course will cover EASA regulations requiring proper training for aerodrome personnel involved in NOTAM origination. The objectives include knowledge and understanding, which is compliant with Rules for Aerodromes (Regulation (EU) No 139/2014 (AMC1 ADR.OPS.A.057(a)(2);(3).
